Hello & Welcome to My Blog!

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Sany. I was born and raised in America’s finest city – San Diego, California (“SD”). My parents named me after my birthplace and that’s how Sany was formed. After highschool I moved to Orange County, California (“OC”) to attend college and ended up spending the first 7.5 years of my adulthood there. Fast forward to 2016 and here I am, living in the amazing city of Chicago for 3 years now.

While living in OC, I started documenting my food and travel adventures on Yelp. I started yelping because I knew I wanted a platform that I could refer back to and remind me of where and what I ate. I eventually became an “elite” which allowed me to attend some special events. I carried this elite badge with me to Chicago and kept yelping my journey because I knew this was a great reference point for my guests coming out of town or for myself. Eventually Yelping became mundane and I realized, majority of readers do not care about *my* experience.

After my guests from out of town refused to refer to my yelp and asked me to just send them lists of foods and things to do in Chicago, I decided to make a pictorial blog via Instagram. My Instagram started off with just pictures of food I ate, its location, and what the dish was made of. It has now grown to incorporating pictures of things to do in and around Chicago, upcoming events, health and fitness, giveaways, collaborations with other instagramers, and more.

With the growth of my Instagram and a new profound vision, I decided to create this blog. For this blog extends far beyond just pictures. This will be my new platform in which I will expand on my Instagram posts, go further into depth about products, and create content that helps reflect my vision. A true believer in a balance between Eating Good and Living Great. I’m very delighted to share this with you all and I hope you enjoy it!
