Who else feels like they never have time to meal prep or worse, they aren’t the best cooks, and thus find themselves spending all of their money on dining out?!
For me personally, I try to find somewhere between 3-5x a week doing form of exercising, but with a full time job and long commutes, it’s tough, now add in time for hobbies, socializing and meal-prepping?! (Channeling my inner Jesse Spanos impersonation “There’s no time, there’s never enough time!!” from an episode of Save By the Bell)
I have tried to meal prep, I really have… I cook pretty much the same basic meals weekly, imagine bland flavorless protein and veggies. Oh! and on days that I do cardio, I allow myself to up my carb in-take (#IloveCarbs).
But really though, there are many times I find myself struggling to get through my meals. Granted their are healthy and nourishing, but they are f-l-a-v-o-r-l-e-s-s. The worst part is after going hard in the gym and eating a non-fulfilling meal haha
It is then did I consider looking into delivered meals. Freshly is my first (and only) meal delivery service I have tired. Freshly is a chef-prepared gourmet meal delivery service that makes eating healthy deliciously easy. Not to mention, all meals are made-to-order and packaged to ensure they arrive fresh from their kitchen!
I have tried their: Grilled Chicken Risotto, Chicken and Rice Pilaf, Sicilian-Style Chicken Parm, and Roasted Red Pepper Chicken. Each came individually packaged and in a cooling box. Each box comes with instructions on how to heat up the meal, ingredients, and its nutritional contents. Depending if you’re on a time constraint, you can choose to either microwave or heat it up through the oven. For me, I microwaved them all and they are ready roughly within 3 minutes. If you think about it, they are ready in less time than it takes to preheat the oven (say whaaaa).
In addition, some things that makes Freshly so awesome is the fact that they constantly change their menu up. If you’re like me and can’t stand eating the same stuff over and over again, or struggle to cook delicious but healthy meals, freshly has a team of chefs that cook the meals.
Overall, being introduced to Freshly has been a life saver. It truly saved me while I was studying for the bar. I was studying roughly 8-10 hours a day and it kept me from adding more stress to my already stressful life. I didn’t have to worry about slaving away in the kitchen. Every Freshly meal saved me at least an hour, if not more per day from prepping, cooking, and cleaning. Each meal was so nourishing that I never crashed and always had energy.
